Why is a good web design so important?
"If your business is not on the Internet, your business does not exist."
We’ve all heard this famous quote by Bill Gates countless times — and it couldn’t be more true.
A well-built website is no longer optional. It’s the foundation for sharing what you offer: your products, services, projects, values, and the people behind your brand. It’s how you communicate your unique value and why potential clients should choose you over the competition.

But it’s not just about what you say — it’s about how you say it. And that’s where web design plays a crucial role.

Usability, user experience, visual hierarchy, and even the shapes and colors you choose can be the difference between someone staying on your site — or bouncing straight to your competitor’s.
Global University Systems: One example of success
The story behind this design was long and complex—but that’s exactly why, given the importance of the project, I’m especially proud of the result.

It all began when I found out that the GUS rebranding had been commissioned to an external agency. I was invited to review their progress and offer feedback. While they did a solid job on certain aspects—like the icon design and color palette—some key elements, such as the website and the overall brand expression, didn’t quite capture what we truly wanted to communicate.

Just when it felt like the project had lost its direction, I was able to step in and steer it toward a new design. With some essential adjustments, that’s the version that finally came to life. I still remember the pivotal meeting with Louise, Nadia, and Denisse—we left the room excited, aligned, and confident that we had found the right visual identity for Global University Systems.

After countless hours of work—designing the website, selecting imagery, writing copy, and most importantly, shaping the Brand Guidelines—the project is now complete. The website is live, and the outcome couldn’t be more rewarding.
We aimed for a visual identity that felt modern, fresh, clean, and distinctive. And we made it happen.

Colonia Restaurant
Designing the website for Restaurante Colonia meant capturing more than just a menu — it meant honoring over 50 years of history, hospitality, and heart.

This iconic family-run restaurant, founded in 1969 by Fritz Fröhlich, has evolved from a humble snack bar into a beloved culinary destination in Mallorca. The challenge was to create a digital experience that reflected its warmth, personality, and multi-generational legacy — while also making it practical and inviting for today's users.

The result is a website that blends tradition with functionality: simple, intuitive, and full of visual references to the restaurant’s roots. A place where past and present meet, just like they do every day at Colonia’s tables.

GUS Germany
From the very beginning, it was clear that this wasn’t just about creating a website—it was about shaping a visual identity that reflects HTK Academy’s creative spirit, international focus, and academic excellence.

The project started with a simple but powerful question: How do we visually communicate the energy of a place where art, design, and innovation converge? That question became the foundation of every design decision.

We wanted a digital presence that would feel bold, forward-thinking, and authentic. Something that would speak not only to prospective students, but also to a wider creative community. Clean layouts, dynamic visuals, and thoughtful typography became essential tools to express the Academy’s ethos.

Throughout the process, we worked closely with the HTK team to refine the message and elevate the look and feel of the site. From the design system to content structure, every detail was carefully considered. We didn't just want to design a website—we wanted to build an experience that inspires curiosity, reflects creative ambition, and positions HTK as a leading voice in design education.
After weeks of collaboration, feedback, iterations, and adjustments, the result is something we’re truly proud of. T
he new HTK Academy website is now live—fresh, modern, and unmistakably true to its identity.

HTK Academy
When I was tasked with designing the GUS Germany site, my sole focus was on creating a seamless, user-first web experience that married the strength of the global GUS identity with Germany’s local needs.

I began by mapping out user journeys for prospective students, partners, and staff—ensuring that every click would feel intuitive. Through wireframes and prototypes, we honed in on a clear information hierarchy: course offerings up front, streamlined application steps, and easy access to support resources.

Visually, I leaned on the global GUS color palette and typography but introduced subtle Germanic touches—clean lines, generous white space, and a structured grid—to convey both authority and approachability. Responsive layouts adapt flawlessly from desktop to mobile, making content digestible on any device.

After rounds of feedback and iterative refinements—optimizing load times, polishing interactions, and tightening copy—the new GUS Germany website went live. The result is a modern, engaging platform that guides every visitor toward action while staying unmistakably aligned with the wider GUS family.

Max7p
Max7p brings over 20 years of international experience in the B2B and B2C event industry, working across sectors as diverse as Technology, Education, Telecoms, Aviation, Biotech, and more. With such a broad and dynamic background, the goal for their website was clear: create a clean, user-friendly platform that reflects their professionalism and versatility.

The design approach focused on simplicity, clarity, and accessibility. We wanted users from any industry or background to navigate the site with ease—whether they were potential clients, partners, or collaborators. The structure was built to guide visitors naturally through Max7p’s service offering, expertise, and contact channels.

Beyond the front end, I also designed a straightforward and efficient CMS for the internal team. This allows them to manage and update content with ease, keeping the site current without needing technical support.

The final result is a clean, responsive, and approachable website that supports Max7p’s brand and communicates their global experience with clarity and confidence.

Dashboard
I was commissioned to design an interactive, decorative dashboard for the main offices of GUS—an installation to be displayed on large touchscreen panels, offering visitors an engaging way to explore the different institutions that make up the group.
The challenge was to create something visually striking yet functional—something that would feel at home in a corporate environment while inviting interaction. The dashboard needed to communicate the scale and diversity of GUS, but in a way that was intuitive and elegant.

The result is a sleek, futuristic interface that blends clean design with smooth transitions and thoughtful structure. It’s more than just a display—it’s a digital experience that introduces the GUS ecosystem at a glance, while elevating the aesthetic of the physical space where it lives.

Form meets function, and the identity of GUS is now literally at your fingertips.

IBAT Dublin
When I was approached to work on IBAT Dublin’s new website, the brief quickly evolved into something more ambitious: a complete refresh of their digital presence, starting with the redesign of their logo.

The goal was to bring IBAT’s identity in line with its growth as a leading business and technology school in Ireland—modern, professional, and internationally oriented. The new logo was the first step: clean, bold, and confident, reflecting both academic excellence and a future-focused mindset.

From there, the website design followed the same principles. I focused on clarity, structure, and ease of navigation, ensuring that prospective students could quickly find key information on programmes, admissions, and campus life. The tone had to feel academic yet accessible, international yet rooted in Dublin.

Every visual and interaction was carefully considered—from typography and color palette to mobile responsiveness and content hierarchy. The result is a modern, intuitive platform that supports IBAT’s mission and elevates its brand.
A redesigned identity and a fresh digital experience, all working together to tell the story of today’s IBAT Dublin.

LCCM. London College of Contemporary Music
LCCM is not a traditional school—it’s a creative hub in the heart of London, where music, writing, and storytelling converge. The challenge was to design a website that could capture that unique energy and communicate the spirit of a place built for artists, by artists.

From the start, the goal was clear: create a site that feels alive, expressive, and contemporary. One that speaks directly to the students—future musicians, producers, writers, and performers—while maintaining clarity and structure for a smooth, informative user experience.

The design balances creativity with usability. Strong visuals, bold typography, and fluid layouts help bring the content to life, while intuitive navigation makes it easy for users to explore courses, events, and the community behind LCCM. Every element was crafted to reflect the rhythm and personality of the college itself.

The result is a vibrant, responsive platform that supports LCCM’s mission and connects with its creative audience—clear, dynamic, and unmistakably LCCM.

University Niagara Falls in Canada
Creating the website for the University of Niagara Falls Canada was all about capturing a bold vision: a new, forward-thinking institution rooted in one of the most iconic locations in the country. The goal was to design a digital platform that would reflect the university’s ambition, academic excellence, and commitment to innovation.

The challenge was to translate a fresh brand into a fully functional, engaging, and responsive website—one that would speak to prospective students from around the world and clearly communicate the unique offerings of the university.

The design focused on clarity, simplicity, and visual impact. Clean layouts, modern typography, and dynamic imagery helped convey a sense of progress and energy. The content architecture was carefully structured to guide users through programs, admissions, student life, and the university’s future-ready mission.

The result is a sleek, intuitive, and scalable website that introduces the University of Niagara Falls Canada to the world—confidently, clearly, and with purpose.
